Meowzers and Daisy (formerly Doc and Hickory)

Hello! We wanted to update you when we saw Dribble (Dickory) on the website.  Meowzers and Daisy are the other two sisters (aka Doc and Hickory) and are doing great!  Their personalities are so different and unique.  Daisy, the black and white, is lean and wiry and FAST.  She lets her opinion be known but is still cuddly and sweet.  Meowzers (the grey, who never meows!) is laid back and content,  a sweet fluffy furball.  She will play with her toys in the corner just to hide them from her sister who will steal anything.  Both cats are very loving and tolerant with our children and instantly became cherished members of our family.  Thanks, Saving Paws!

 Miley

I adopted Miley almost 3 mos ago, and she was a very frightened little kitty! She would run away if you looked at her! Now she is just a totally different cat! She loves to cuddle and play now. I got another cat shortly after, so miley had a friend and now they are inseparable!!! I am very happy I found her and she was able to come home with me. :]

Bandit

My fiance, Brian, and I adopted Bandit in February.  I thought maybe you'd be interested in his status-so I've attached a few photos.  I was waiting until it was warm out so that I could send some outside pictures-but I haven't been able to take any non-action shots-he's always a blur.  These pictures are of Bandit on "his" couch looking out "his" window.  I just wanted to send this e-mail to thank you again for helping us and adding  such a wonderful member to our family.

Thanks again!

Dribble (formerly Dickory)

My boyfriend and I adopted a kitten from you approximately 4-5 months ago.  I wanted to take a couple of minutes to send you some pictures and let you know how she is doing.  We renamed her Dribble.  You would think it's because of the color of her face, but it actually came from my boyfriends love of basketball.  She is awesome!!  She's getting bigger now and really coming into her own.  She's an inside cat, but loves to sit in the windows and at the patio door so that she can meow at the birds.  She loves to climb, and finds a new place to get into or on top of every day!!  She is a total sweetheart.  She loves to have her belly, neck, and head rubbed, and she's a purring machine.  She sleeps in between us almost every night.  Sometimes she tries to cuddle with my dog (he's a pug), but he usually just walks away from her.  They play together a lot.  The take turns chasing each other around our apartment.  I've included some pictures with the email.  Thank you for allowing us to adopt her!!

Sofie (formerly Lili)

Just letting you know that Sofie(formally Lily) is doing great and has made friends with everyone, even Dodger, our antisocial 11 year old cat. Thanks so much for her. Our daughters just love her.

Walter (aka River)

Wow it's been a week already and it seems as if Walter had doubled in size. He's growing into one big baby, he has lot's of love to give and has no problem spreading it around. He has been trying to play with our cat Barbara, she's not ready yet but it doesn't stop him from trying. We started puppy class on Sunday, he seems eager to learn not to mention play with the two other puppy's there. This morning he was standing by the dishwasher and noticed his reflection. Talk about hilarious, not to mention he finally let us hear what his bark sounds like. All-in-all he is settling in quite well, he truly is a wonderful addition to our family.

Will keep you updated

Mila Nevidomy (formerly Mina)

Just a short note to let you know that "Mina" the little tortie with the eye problems is doing *GREAT*!  She just finished a long course of antibiotics and eye ointments (which she hated), and as you can see from the pics, she's doing much better.  I'm going to try one more round with a different antibiotic to see if we can get this all cleared up once and for all.  She is still a little squinty, but her eyes aren't inflamed and they don't drain nearly as much as they used to.  Even if this second antibiotic does nothing, she seems much more comfortable, and I can actually see what color her eyes are, so we're both happy.  ;)

I did end up changing her name (it's something of a family tradition) --- it is now Mila Nevidomy (Mila for short, so it almost sounds the same), which means "blind love" in Czech.  She and her new kitty brother are getting along well.  They had a little bit of a rough start and Chiisai still likes to pretend he's indifferent to her by getting up to leave when she comes up for snuggles... but it's all a show.  They cuddle on the bed together when no one is home (I caught them with their arms around each other, but had no camera) and last night they were playing kitty soccer with a glitter ball.  They each have their own spot on the bed staked out --- Mila sleeps on my ankles and Chiisai sleeps on my head --- that way I can't sneak out of bed without feeding them breakfast.  :)  She certainly is a talker!  She follows me around while I get ready in the morning and talks to me, then yells at me when I get home.  Destroyed the shower curtain playing with it (that's ok, it was ugly) and races around the house chasing invisible bugs...  She's crazy!  Which means, of course, that's she fits in perfectly.  Chiisai is much happier having a friend at home while I'm at work, and I absolutely adore her.

So let everyone know that she is doing fabulously ... and *thanks*.

Gilmore

Just thought I'd send a few pics of Gilmore your way to say thanks  again and let you know we have fallen head over heels for this little guy. He seems to be very content with us and has settled in easily.  He is getting Spayed today(poor guy) so of course he will be spoiled till he recovers. Thanks again  we know we would not have him if it weren't for you and your rescuers.

Thank-you,Thank-you Thank-you

Sue

Princess Purr Paws (formerly Tootsie)

Princess is doing very well.  We love her to pieces.  We got her when she was about 5 months old and had just been spayed.  The hair on her tummy is pretty much grown back in.  She is very healthy and has a beautiful shine to her coat.  She is a talker...meets us at the door every day after work and tells us about her day.  The warmer weather is peeking her curiosity about the outdoors but we are just not sure if that is an avenue we want her to explore yet.  She is a very good girl.  A very social kitty.  She adores company, even the neighbors dogs.  The name Princess fits her quite well as she demands attention and makes all the rules at our house...she loves to play and will drag her toys into our bed each morning and meow until we get up and play with her... Thank you for taking such good care of her until we found/adopted her...she was trained very well and it was obvious she was taken good care of.

Sattin and Tuscan

Just giving you a little update. The boys are doing great. They needed a little extra medicine from the doctor to get over the colds they had. The family voted new names for them, I hope you understand. Tuscan is now Blake, and Sattin is now Beau and his tooth did eventually come out and both are doing awesome. They get along great with the older cats, which is a great relief. They go back to the Vet soon to be neutered, he wanted them to be completely over there colds first. Here are a couple pics for you.

Talk to you soon.

Stubby and PJ

It's Jody from Oregon.  I finally am sending you some photos of Stubby and PJ whom I adopted in 07.  There's one of PJ helping me type (he likes to lie on the keyboard), there's a tisket a tasket a Stubby in a basket, Stubby and Chase (a kitty I adopted here in Oregon) trying to share the cat hammock, all four of my boys lounging on the cat tree, one of Stubby and PJ cuddlin' on the couch, and another that I already forgot what it was.  haha.   Anywho, thought maybe you could add this to your "happytails" type stories if you do those.    Thanks again

Jody, Stubby, PJ, Chase and Bandit.

Rascal and Felix

This is from Pat and Debbie O’Connor, we picked up Rascal and Felix about a week before Thanksgiving.  Thought I’d write to tell you that they are fine and have become good pals.  They play lots together and snuggle too.  Rascal is growing up quickly, but still can’t jump as high as Felix, when he does I think I’ll have to kitty proof some more-he’s quite curious!

Thought I’d include some pictures-They love sitting by the heater by the kitchen sink, and one of Pat trying to work from home with two kitties that both want lap space, and relaxing on our couch-their favorite place.

Thanks again for all your hard work with the paws you save,

Debbie and Pat O’Connor

Cosmo

Well we wanted to send you an update on our girl.  She has grown so much,  and she is a very good dog.  Cosmo just celebrated her first birthday in January and we are hoping she has stopped growing now.  She has learned to swim in the lake and enjoys it very much.  We bring her to Daycare three days a week just to tucker her out as she has enough energy to go for days.  She has been a joy to all of us and is such a well behaved dog.  We always gave the credit to Rob for picking her out,  but I think this was the other way around,  Cosmo chose us and we are extremely happy with those results.

Lucy Lou

Lucy had to take time to grow up and learn who was boss, not to mention that I will return everyday!  We just started taking obedience classes at Poochies and Mutts here in GB and slowly but surely I think we'll get the hang of things.  She wasn't totally out of line at the class, but really wanted to be with the other dogs, so I had to keep redirecting her back to me.  A few weeks ago I also boarded her for the first time thereShe did very well.

So, I guess that's the story on our end.  It's amazing how much progress has been made in a year--which is what it will be at the end of March!  I know what you are thinking..."I told you so..."!  But of course I am glad you did!  Thanks again for the good advice this past summer--it made me realize it takes two to make this thing go!    Here are some pictures of her from the last few months!

Jaxon (formerly Sebastian)

We adopted Jaxon (formerly Sebastian) just before Thanksgiving last year.  When we adopted him we knew he'd be a big boy and HE IS!  He has grown to an 80 pound licker.  He loves giving kisses...whether it's your hand your leg or just the blanket he's laying on.  He definitely loves the take up all the room on the bed which we only let him lay on during the day.  He doesn't fit too well with two adults in the bed when he takes up more room then Scott and I do.  We had normal puppy "issues" at the beginning and have now learned you can not keep anything in his reach when he's home alone.  He's very curious about EVERYTHING!  He makes us laugh everyday especially when he's introduces to new things.  We showed him a balloon today and he would kick it to make it go in the air.  When we throw a toy football at him he jumps up and tries to catch it with his front paws.  It's so cute.  I attached a few pictures to the email so you can see how big he has gotten.  He still thinks he's a lap dog though.  Thank you so much for letting us adopt Jaxon.  We are looking forward to bringing him to the dog park this spring.  He's a joy to have around. As you can see in one of the picture he tries to sit in one of our chairs.  He even tries to lay down...

Maya (formerly Daisy)

Hello, here are some newer photos of Maya.  As you can see she settled in nicely.
Right now she is sitting on the back of my chair watching over my shoulder and
brushing me in the face with her beautiful tail.  She is actually quite a character!

Newman and Archie

Newman and Archie

Newman and Archie here! We used to be Jerry and Spike, but Momma changed our names. Boy, did we hit the jackpot! We have a great new home with 2 kitty sisters (they don't entirely think we're wonderful yet, but they'll figure it out) and 2 doggie sisters (they love us!) We have tons of toys, and get lots of cuddles and hugs all the time. Daddy says he thinks we're the best and Momma tells us how much she loves us all the time. And we show them how much we love them with kisses. We are so happy to have such a great forever home! We can't thank Lynn and Saving Paws enough for taking such good care of us and socializing us so well.

Theodore and Jordan

Thanks so much to Saving Paws for these two babies.  Jordan was a princess when we picked her out and I think she is now a full fledged queen!   Theodore was my baby when we picked him out.... I love big orange kitties and he is a big hunk of love.  He loves to be played with and he hums at us constantly.  We were beginning to wonder if Theo was ever going to quit growing... thinking we adopted a small cougar or something... but he has seemed to level out, at least a little bit... he is definately a two arm kitty, with a tail like a raccoon... just the way we like em!!  They are definately the center of our house... and if we dare forget that for a moment... they are not shy to remind us immediately of their importance.   When we had to put our big fat cat to sleep, we never thought we'd find a kitty to take her place... and although we still miss her... these two have definately taken the sting away and filled our hearts with lots of love. We love them dearly and are so happy that we were able to adopt them from a rescue...  They are now totally pampered, spoiled and loved.   Thanks so much for all the work you all do.... know it is appreciated!

Carter (formerly Julius)

Julius is very comfortable in his new home. He fit right in right away and was never afraid of the other cats or a new environment. He is so cool!! He loves to play with his toys relax on the cat tower and catch Tj , another kitty that looks very simular to him. I love that Julius sleeps in a little ball right next to me.  I did rename him to "Carter" When I heard that name I really liked it and it "fits" Thanks for letting me adopt him ... he is great!!

Shiloh

I wanted to give you an update on Shiloh. What a ham he is! And he gets along with all the other cats - even though they don't get along with each other. He's a curious clod, but so cute that you can't stay mad. :) I hope his mom and brother have found good homes. Shi seems very happy here. He's not really a snuggler, but he likes a good massage! And he likes to sleep with stuff, this is one of his teddy bears :)

Spencer

Just wanted to share a couple of Christmas pictures of our little guy, who isn't that little anymore. Things are going great with Spencer.  I am so happy that we found
your organization! He just turned 4 months on December 2 and he loves giving kisses and playing with all of his friends at doggie day care! He is full of energy and loves to
run in the snow in the back yard.   He will be going in for his first overnight stay at the
vets office on December 22; he will be getting neutered that morning and he has to stay overnight. Terry and I can pick him up the afternoon of the 23rd. Should be a perfect time for him to heal as I will be on vacation from school for the holiday season.

Happy Holidays to everyone at Saving Paws! And thank you again for this wonderful addition to our family.

Kramer

Thank you Saving Paws! Kramer is officially living the good life. He didn't take long to warm up to Fluffy and I, and he continues to maintain a healthy appetite. In fact, he's just starting to understand the concept of an endless food dish. Kramer's first official Thanksgiving was a special treat. He was very excited about the yummy turkey dinner, and is living up to his reputation as a big fat lover boy. Any excess weight can be blamed on the holidays. I'm sure if Kramer knew about the ham and chicken at Christmas, he would be looking forward to it! I'd like to send a special thank you to all of the incredible staff and volunteers that made his rescue possible. I feel truly blessed to have Kramer, and all of his remaining lives.

Bella

Just wanted wish you a Merry Christmas from  Bella and co.  She is doing really well.  She doesn't even bother the Christmas tree.  This chair is her favorite spot she likes to look out the windows in the kitchen.  Bella  looks to me like she has gained  some weight.  She
gets canned food one in a while, and loves it.    She greets me when I come home and is still trying to make friends with  my husband ,who is not fond of kitties, but  she is warming him up.
