Adopting From Us

Thank you for your interest in adopting a pet from Saving Paws! To begin, view our adoptable pets.

To adopt, you will need to arrange a time to come out to our shelter or foster home(s) to meet the pet(s) you are interested in and fill out an adoption application. You may fill out the application in advance and e-mail it to us or bring it to the shelter with you. We will then process your application, which typically takes 24 to 72 hours as we are 100% volunteer-run.  Once you are approved, you may return to pick up your new companion(s). All applications are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

Please contact info@savingpaws.com or call (920) 830-2392 with any questions.

We are volunteer-run, so we don't have regular hours, but we would be happy to set up a time that works for you to come visit. We are located in north Appleton and when you set up an appointment we will give you directions to our shelter.

**Please note that some of our adoptable cats and all of our adoptable dogs are cared for in foster homes, and we can help arrange meetings at foster care homes for you if the pet(s) you are interested in adopting is in foster care.

All adoptions from Saving Paws include:

For Cats: standard treatments include deworming, a combo test for feline leukemia and FIV, a distemper shot, seasonal topical treatments for fleas, ticks, and mites, additional treatments as needed, and 30 days free ShelterCare pet insurance.  We may also do rabies shots as we can afford it.

Adopters may not four-paw declaw cats and kittens adopted from Saving Paws.

For Dogs: standard treatments include deworming if necessary, distemper, bordatella, rabies, and 30 days free ShelterCare pet insurance.

All pets adopted must be spayed/neutered if not already. If you adopt a pet too young to be neutered or spayed, you may be required to pay a $50 deposit that will be returned to you upon receipt of a signed letter from your veterinarian indicating the date your pet was spayed or neutered.
